A Year of Rhythm

A 12-month group journey in seasonal living, embodied self-connection, and a more human relationship with time

A Year of Rhythm is a year-long group program for people who feel disconnected, stretched thin, or quietly out of step with the world they’re living in. Not because something is wrong with them—but because something about the pace, pressure, and structure of modern life doesn’t quite fit.

Together, we step into a different orientation.

One that listens for slower rhythms. One that honours the body. One that remembers the seasons are not just something happening outside of you—but something you are part of.

Over the course of a year, we work gently with three living layers of rhythm: the solar year, the lunar cycle, and your embodied, day-to-day experience.

Not as concepts to master. But as relationships to build.

What this is really about

At its core, this program is about reclaiming your relationship with time.

Much of the way we understand time now—calendars, schedules, productivity cycles—has been shaped around control, efficiency, and output. Even systems that once reflected the natural world have been flattened into something rigid and demanding.

This program offers another way.

A way of relating to time that is cyclical rather than extractive. Responsive rather than forceful. Rooted in the understanding that you are not separate from the living world—you are part of it.

In my work as a therapist, I see again and again that what many people are experiencing as exhaustion, disconnection, or even depression is not simply an individual issue. There is often a deeper absence underneath it: a lack of meaningful connection.

Not just with others—but with self, with body, and with the wider living world.

This space is an invitation to begin rebuilding those relationships.

This program is about gentle change

This is not a program that promises transformation in the mainstream sense.

There is no end point where everything is fixed.

But over the course of a year, my goal is that we all feel something shift when we stay in relationship with ourselves and each other in this way.

  • A more intuitive relationship with the seasons—recognizing how they shape your energy, mood, attention, and needs.
  • A lived connection with the moon—not just knowing about it, but noticing it, tracking it, and relating to it as something present in your daily life.
  • A deeper, more honest relationship with your body. Not a performance of self-love, but a practice of listening, responding, and staying connected.
  • A growing comfort with slowness, rest, and cyclical change.
  • Simple rituals and practices that help you return to yourself in ordinary moments.
  • New ways of making meaning through symbolism, reflection, and creative exploration.
  • More space for awe, wonder, and a sense of aliveness in everyday life.
  • And a sense that you are part of something—not just individually navigating your way through it all.

How the program works

This is a 12-month group experience that follows the arc of the seasons.

It is designed as a spiral rather than a straight line. We return to core ideas again and again, each time from a deeper place.

You do not need to “keep up.” You are allowed to arrive as you are.

The program includes:

  • Seasonal workbooks (4 total)
    • At the beginning of each season, you’ll receive a workbook to guide your exploration. These include reflections, simple practices, seasonal insights, and creative prompts you can engage with in your own way.
  • Monthly live gatherings
    • Once a month, we meet as a group. These gatherings are the heart of the program and may include:
      • gentle somatic or present-moment practices
      • reflective and symbolic prompts
      • artful exploration (writing, drawing, collage, etc.)
      • occasional guided imagination or inner journeying
      • group conversation and shared reflection
  • Optional community space (WhatsApp)
    • A space to stay connected between gatherings. You can share reflections, questions, or moments of resonance—or simply witness others.
  • Additional resources throughout the year
    • Optional companion materials exploring the moon, the seasons, the sun, and the body.
  • Optional rhythm tracking journal
    • A flexible tool to help you notice patterns in your energy, mood, and experience in relation to season, lunar cycle, and daily life.

A note on pace

This program is intentionally designed to be receptive rather than demanding.

You do not need to complete everything. You do not need to do it perfectly. You do not need to have the capacity for “extra work” in your life.

You can come to the monthly gatherings, engage when you have energy, and let the rest unfold slowly.

There is no falling behind here.

FAQ

When does the program start?

The start date will be announced once enough people have joined the interest list to create a meaningful group container.

Do I need to be spiritual for this?

This space is open to people who feel connected to nature, as well as those who are simply curious about what it might mean to be in relationship with the living world in a more intentional way. There is no dogma here—only exploration.

Do I need art experience?

No. Creative expression is used as a tool for reflection, not performance.

What if I’m tired and don’t have much capacity?

That’s exactly who this was designed for. You are not expected to do everything. Showing up to the monthly gatherings is enough.

Is this therapy?

No. This is a guided group program, not therapy or a substitute for mental health care.

Can I join for just one season?

No. The program is intentionally designed as a year-long arc that builds over time.

Will I have access forever?

No. This is a live one-year container. You’ll have time to download any materials you’d like to keep.
